The four-day event, praised as one of the top five food and wine festivals in the U.S. by Forbes Traveler, and winemakers in the world. The festival, a non-profit organization, benefits educational opportunities and culinary scholarships at local universities, including: The College of Charleston, Culinary Institute of Charleston and The International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Charleston.

On May 4th the staff of ICEBOX was pleased to be apart of The College of Charleston’s annual Charleston Affair located in the College’s Cistern Yard. With 60+ talented Bartenders and Event Managers onsite, the night was filled with nothing but sweet southern charm! Guests enjoyed a plethora of beer and wine selections, however, the highlight of the night was the featured Strawberry Mint Sangria!

Charleston Fashion Week alumna Emily Bargeron of Mamie Ruth and eyewear designer to celebrities like Lady Gaga, Stevie Boi will headline an intersection of fashion and culture at NOIR, Thursday March 21st at Venue 549.
Organized by Charleston After Dark and ICEBOX BAR, the creators of numerous stylish events, such as RAIN, LUXE and most recently the New Years Eve Rose Ball, NOIR will feature local talent with some special out-of-town guests. DJ Cato K from Miami will headline this fab fashion event, just as he did at LUXE for Charleston After Dark in 2011. Opening sets by local DJ’s Jake B and DJ Y-Not will keep the fashionistas moving as they gaze at a Fashion Presentation by Emily Bargeron of Mamie Ruth. Charleston’s very on Dance FX dancers, will be dancing the night away wearing the latest fashions by Designer Stevie Boi, himself, who will be presenting at his first fashion event in the Holy City. NOIR will combine the best of fashionistas, fashion, music and entertainment, into four hours of excitement from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. at the new and upscale Five Four Nine venue located at 549 E Bay Street.
In addition, Vocalist Quiana Parler of the popular Quiana Parler & Friends, and Carmen Esteves will be performing throughout the night. Parler has worked with the likes of Clay Aiken, Keith Sweat and Kelly Clarkson.

Charlie Magazine, which celebrates progressive culture in Charleston, hosted the annual 50 Most Progressive Dinner this past Friday, March 8th at Venue 549 (549 East Bay Street). This celebration was open to the public to honor 50 of the most progressive people in Charleston, South Carolina (Distinguished in Red!).
