Born and raised in the North, Emily decided to return to her paternal home town of Charleston, SC in 2006 to attend the College of Charleston. While attending CofC she was quickly drawn towards and excelled in the field of Hospitality. Soaking in the F&B Industry, Emily spent many of her undergraduate years working with local restaurants and bars until graduation. In 2010, Emily landed herself a position with Cru Catering as Catering Director. During her time with Cru, Emily learned every aspect of an event from menu design, layout, timeline and ultimately event execution. After being a part of over 1,500 events Emily graciously accepted a position at the Country Club of Charleston as Food & Beverage Director.
During her time at the Country Club of Charleston, Emily assisted with the 2013 USGA Women’s Amateur, a Club wide renovation, countless member events, all in addition to overseeing the F&B beverage department. However, in late 2015 Emily found herself missing the action of the Charleston events industry and decided to join the ICEBOX team, headed up by long time friend, Chris Laine.
Emily has quickly re-familiarized herself with the excitement that comes along with planning each event and prides herself in making each client’s interaction easy and enjoyable. Emily knows how to enjoy a nice cocktail, and wants your bar experience to be nothing shy of exceptional, so that you too, can enjoy a drink!
