Chris jumpstarted his 15-year career in food and beverage, events, and operations while still in high school in New York. While holding down a variety of management gigs at regional and national restaurant brands, Chris graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a degree in Hospitality/Resort and Tourism Management. Chris later landed a job as Director of Events at Charleston’s Vendue Inn, where he worked for two years before joining the ICEBOX team in 2012.
Chris has a “make-it-happen” attitude, and lives by the motto “think bigger, dream bigger”. Spending several years as ICEBOX’s resident Operations Director, Chris implemented his business-savvy, refined, and style-driven approach for each event. After three years handling all day–to-day operations and directing the company’s short and long term operational and growth strategy, Chris purchased ICEBOX from its founder, Boris VanDyck.
